The Accelerators; schedule for the next week (4/26 to 5/3) Fri no practice Sat no practice Sun 4-5pm Red Oak - The Wilds Formerly known as Lippold Park, on Route 25 at the border of Batavia and North Aurora just north of Red Oak Nature Center; the park entrance is at the intersection of Route 25 and Shagbark Dr...a little less than a half mile south of where Route 25 crosses the railroad tracks. Mon-Thu 5:00-6:15pm Rotolo Middle School Track 1501 S. Raddant Rd, Batavia. Meet at the track located next to the school. Fri no practice We will have

Three events coming up. Let me know if you are participating or volunteering. Saturday April 27 is the Batavia Mothers’ Club Fox Trot races where children 11 and under can run the 5K for $25 or for free do either the 1 mile fun run or the ¼ mile junior jog. Registration for any of these closes Thursday evening (runsignup.com/Race/IL/Batavia/BMCFoxTrot). Sunday May 5 is the Fox River Trail Runners “Great Western Half Marathon”. The Accelerators operate a water stop and the turn around point. I would to have a crew of least 15 people 7:15-9:15am. We will setup, hand out
The Fox Trot 5K/10K is on Saturday April 27, 2024. It includes the following events: 5K, 10K, Kids 1 mi Fun Run (recommended for grades 2-5), and 1/4 mi Junior Jog (recommended for students through 2nd grade).

Reminder that the Accelerators have two functions tomorrow Sunday April 21:
9am Trail Clean-up at the Windmill. Dress warmly and bring work gloves for picking up trash.
4pm Practice at Settlers' Hill Cross Country Course. Meet in the parking lot just north of the ice rink on Kirk Road.

Sunday May 5 is the Fox River Trail Runners “Great Western Half Marathon”. The Accelerators operate a water stop and the turn around point. I would to have a crew of least 15 people 7:15-9:15am. We will setup, hand out hydration, and clean-up. Please contact me with your email so that I can send out instructions. Also tis is good for volunteer hours for students.![]()

Thursday May 16 is the Fox River Trail Runners ”She Runs the Fox”. The Fun Run/Walk is for women and children. It starts at 6:30pm near Pal Joey’s in Batavia. Coach Abbey is the main organizer of this event which you can register at raceroster.com/events/2024/81812/she-runs-the-fox-2024.![]()
